Fibre Optic Downlighting Kits
Install a fibre optic downlighting kit in your entertainment or relaxation area and create an enjoyable setting for watching movies, after-dinner entertainment, outdoor parties, or just to create a relaxing way to unwind and enjoy the colour show.
Fibre optic downlight systems do not have any globes or bulbs in the downlight fittings; when fibre optic fittings are installed there is no maintenance with the replacement of globes in the fitting. This is beneficial for high ceilings where industrial ladders and cherry pickers are usually required to replace globes.
The fibre cables do not carry any electrical current and can be fitted without an electrician.
The illuminator can be stored at a convenient location for servicing or replacing the lamps.
LightEFX provides four light sources for fibre optic downlight systems:
LED light source illuminators: Are advantageous as they have a long life span with little maintenance and can be turned on and off without a cool down period.

• 2,120 lumen output with an average life span of 40,000 hours.

2. 80 watt LED
• 4,200 lumen output with an average life span of 40,000 hours.
Metal halide light source illuminators: When powering off, metal halide lamps require a cool down period of 15 minutes before being powered on again.

3: 150 watt metal halide
• 12,600 lumen output with an average life span of 6,000 hours.

4. 250 watt metal halide
• 18,000 lumen output with an average life span of 3,000 hours.
